Daily life has been significantly altered by COVID-19, no matter the industry. Many are working from home, while children stay inside for online schooling. Meetings and events have been hit especially hard, since the essence of the industry is face-to-face interactions. While we continue to self-isolate, plenty of organizations have been offering webinars with insights on how to handle the pandemic—watching webinars is a great way to use that extra time you might have used for your commute to learn something useful.

Here at M+E, we’ll keep the following list updated, as some webinars are live and some are pre-recorded. Please email lauren.pahmeier@tigeroak.com to add more applicable webinars to the list.

Four times the size of its current headquarters, it will include a new kitchen, offices and a warehouse. Toast the new digs with the company’s Blueberry Mule—the recipe raises the bar on the sober-curious trend.

INGREDIENTS

—3 oz. fresh-pressed blueberry juice

—juice of half a lime

—ginger beer

—shaved ice

—sprig of mint

—lime wedge

In 1919, the Red Cross Convalescent House at Vancouver Barracks was dedicated. The house provided comfort for patients at the Vancouver Barracks hospital in Vancouver, Washington. Two years later, it became the noncommissioned officers club and service club. Today, the historic property is known simply as the Red Cross Building and serves as a beautiful backdrop for special events.

Take note of these seven pros who are making their mark in the meetings and events industry.

I was completely enthralled with the event planning process. … This experience was my jumpstart into events and I was hooked.”
