To kick off the year, the Cadillac Area Visitors Bureau (CAVB) launched new 3D accessibility tours, which give visitors and others a virtual preview of the region’s accommodations and attractions. Powered by Able Eyes, a Michigan-based virtual tour-hosting site, these immersive tours provide a “know before you go” experience, helping visitors—especially those with specific accessibility needs—navigate Cadillac with confidence.
When planning a meeting or event, accessibility is an essential factor for selecting venues, hotels, and destinations. With these 3D tours, the CAVB offers a high level of transparency, allowing users to virtually explore hotel lobbies, guest rooms, and event spaces. Many other attractions are available to tour as well, providing a detailed look at entrances, hallways, and layouts to ensure every visitor can make informed decisions before arriving.
“Able Eyes Virtual Tours are a game changer for people with physical and invisible disabilities,” says Evan Winters, president of Able Eyes, in a prepared statement. “I’ve driven through Cadillac all my life, but filming these accessible tours opened my eyes to just how much more there is beyond what you see along M-55 between the two lakes. It’s exciting to know these tours will help so many people discover and enjoy all Cadillac has to offer.”
Cadillac’s hospitality partners have integrated the 3D tours into their own websites as well, making it easy for potential visitors to access comprehensive, real-time information about their stays. The program is slated to expand even further, with additional venues and attractions being gradually added.
“This collaboration with Able Eyes is just one of the many ways we strive to make Cadillac a more welcoming destination for everyone,” adds Kathy Morin, executive director of the CAVB. “By offering tools that empower informed decision-making, we hope to create a travel experience that is enjoyable for all.”
