The Venue Event Center Offers Meeting Space in Cadillac

Cadillac has a new option for planners: The Venue Event Center, which can accommodate up to 500 attendees with two distinct spaces

Cadillac has a new meetings and events venue with a name that gets straight to the point. The Venue Event Center is offering both its own sponsored entertainment as well as space for business and association gatherings.

Promotions Manager Sean Reddick says The Venue Event Center’s roots are in a restaurant called The Truck Stop that owner Jeremy Rose started in 2022. It piggybacked on the format of another restaurant he owned, Three Oh Eight in Manton.

“He decided to build an addition on the back to become The Venue,” Reddick says, explaining that the original intent of The Venue Event Center was to serve as a wedding reception site. Now, the focus has shifted to meetings, events, and entertainment.

To accommodate these goals, Rose went on to enclose a large outdoor building that previously served as a covered addition to the fresh air space. Now, in addition to the restaurant, The Venue Event Center features two spaces—one accommodating about 100 and the other around 400—available for rent for meetings and events. Garage doors separating the two facilities can be opened to create one big area for up to 500 attendees.

“The big room has a 16-by-24-foot stage with full lighting and sound,” Reddick says. “We have a full restaurant and catering abilities for meetings and that kind of thing.”

Meanwhile, The Venue Event Center schedules between four and five concerts a month featuring acts that range from country to hip-hop and rock and roll. Concerts attract fans to Cadillac from across the country.

Rose and the staff have also been generous in offering the facility for local events. “We’ve had many different fundraising events for families in need looking to [raise money] for families with cancer,” Reddick says. “There was [also] just an awards banquet with the City of Cadillac’s visitors bureau we donated the building for. We’ve donated the building a lot.”
