If you want a crisp autumn feeling, look no further than the city of Flint and Genesee County. From apple orchards to fall color hikes, there are plenty of ways to ease into that fall feeling here. Located in the heart of Michigan, Genesee County is easily accessible and home to many farms and orchards, the largest county parks system in the state, and world-class cultural institutions, all of which elevate your meeting or event. Whether you’re hosting at a unique venue or planning after-hours events at one of the area’s local cider mills, breweries, or wineries, you are sure to add some fall fun to your agenda.

A unique venue to check out is Fenton Winery & Brewery/Dream Machine Distillery’s banquet room, which hosts up to 300 people and connects to one of the largest beer gardens in Michigan. The purveyor also brews, distills, and produces its own beer, liquor, and wine on-site—great for an after-meeting mixer.
For team building in nature, look no further than YMCA Camp Copneconic. Since 1915, this camp has served thousands of families as a place for fun, excitement, and learning. It has 700 acres of beautiful, serene property, with historic and modern facilities and a trained and knowledgeable staff. If you are looking for a retreat or meeting that encompasses outdoor activities, look no further.

The Flint Cultural Center is a world-class arts-and-culture campus featuring over half a dozen institutions all in one place. The Sloan Museum of Discovery & Longway Planetarium has meeting space and hosts larger events after museum hours. The museum itself has amazing exhibitions, including a discovery hall and a history gallery featuring regional history and historic vehicles.
The Flint Institute of Arts Museum + Art School (FIA) is the second-largest art museum in Michigan and one of the largest museum-connected community arts schools in the U.S. Along with its world-class collections, rotating exhibitions, and Hot Shop (which features live glassblowing demonstrations). The FIA has meeting and event space that is unique and artful.

Outside meetings and events, there are plenty of other spaces to enjoy the fall in Genesee County. For-Mar Nature Preserve & Arboretum in Burton has beautiful trails for fall-color hikes. Stepping Stone Falls in Flint is a beautiful human-created waterfall in the center of the Flint River Trail. Additionally, there are plenty of orchards with pumpkins, apples, cider, and donuts.
