Mission Point Resort on Mackinac Island officially opened its doors for this season in late April, unveiling a collection of enhancements across its dining, retail, and experiential offerings. Designed to elevate the overall guest experience, these updates offer new opportunities for planners hosting on the island.
“We are always looking for ways to enhance our guest experience while staying true to the spirit of Mackinac,” says Liz Ware, vice president of sales and marketing at Mission Point Resort, in a prepared statement. “This year, we’re bringing exciting updates to every corner of the resort—from dining and shopping to interactive experiences—so guests can make even more cherished memories during their stay.”
Among the key updates is the renovation of Chianti, the resort’s signature fine-dining restaurant. Inspired by Mackinac Island’s natural beauty, the refreshed space features a colorful, floral-inspired aesthetic. The newly added Lilac Lounge within the restaurant offers a stylish setting for predinner cocktails, small bites, and live piano music—ideal for private gatherings or prefunction receptions.
Retail updates include the expanded Chairished Moments Gift Shop (its name is a nod to the resort’s many Adirondack chairs), which now features a broader collection of island-inspired merchandise. Plus, its new Shopify store makes it easy for attendees to browse and purchase items online. Additional food and beverage updates include a reimagined Lily’s Lemonade stand and a new ice cream shop within Boxwood Coffee Shop & Cafe.
Mission Point also has expanded its guest programming, including themed dinners, sushi nights, and hands-on mixology classes. These experiences offer unique and customizable options for groups.
