With this partnership, D’Amico Hospitality will oversee all venue operations, including culinary, beverage, and hospitality services.
Originally part of the complex of the historic Pillsbury A-Mill—once the world’s largest flour mill—Machine Shop underwent a meticulous restoration ahead of its reopening as an event space in 2016. “Machine Shop is not just a venue; it embodies the rich history of our city and vibrant spirit of the Minneapolis event scene,” says Paul Smith, owner of D’Amico Hospitality, in a prepared statement. “We are thrilled to welcome this remarkable space into our growing portfolio of iconic Minneapolis venues.”
“Selecting D’Amico Hospitality as our partner is a natural fit for us; they are the gold standard in our market,” says Gene Munster, owner of Machine Shop. “Machine Shop Executive Director Sarah Johnson has set a [high standard], and D’Amico will lead us into the next chapter. Our shared vision emphasizes quiet elegance, a welcoming atmosphere, and outstanding hospitality.”
D’Amico Hospitality has been a preferred partner of Machine Shop since the venue began hosting events in 2016, successfully facilitating numerous corporate events, nonprofit galas, community gatherings, and social celebrations.
Located in the Marcy-Holmes neighborhood of northeast Minneapolis, Machine Shop features 19,000 square feet of versatile event space. With dual levels and impressive soaring ceilings, the venue provides ample opportunities for a wide variety of events and attendee capacities.
