Triton Hospitality Group has acquired The Marquette Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton in downtown Minneapolis and has appointed Evolution Hospitality as manager of the property. Based in Santa Monica, California, Triton was founded in 2021 by hospitality and investment veterans John Murphy and David Parsky to acquire underperforming hotel assets.
Built in 1970, the hotel underwent a full transformation of all 281 guestrooms and suites, public spaces, food and beverage outlets, and meeting spaces as well as rebranding as a member of Hilton’s Curio Collection in 2017. The 25,800 square feet of function space is spread across 19 rooms, including Windows on Minnesota.
Triton plans to invest about $4 million to reimagine the hotel’s food and beverage outlets, add Topgolf Swing Suites, make aesthetic enhancements to Windows on Minnesota (a venue situated on the 50th floor of the IDS Center), transform the fitness center and install an energy-efficient, guest room HVAC system.
