Due to the growth in tourism and group bookings in the Lansing area, the Greater Lansing Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Lansing Entertainment and Public Facilities Authority have partnered to assign the Lansing Center’s future sales responsibilities to the GLCVB.

“Due to an upward trend in overall group bookings for the region a more efficient booking process has become necessary for the community as a whole,” says Jack Schripsema, president and CEO of the GLCVB. “The Lansing Center is the premier convention facility in the center of the state and is a critical asset to the future tourism growth of our region. We continue to work with our hospitality partners to make Greater Lansing a destination where it’s easy to do business.”

Scott Keith, president and CEO of LEPFA adds, “The Lansing Center sales and marketing agreement with the GLCVB is an example of regional collaboration that has proven to foster increased demand for our facilities and will lead to further growth and increased economic impact.”

The Lansing Center has 125,000 square feet of downtown meeting space, and has seen a 30 percent increase in revenue and occupancy and a $10 million increase in economic impact over the last five years as collaboration with the GLCVB was fostered.
