Amanda Toy, the associate director of sales at The Greater Lansing Convention & Visitors Bureau was named the Supplier of the Year by the Michigan Chapter of the Society of Government Meeting Professionals. The announcement was made at SGMP’s annual award ceremony held at the Crowne Plaza Lansing West Hotel.
“We at the GLCVB are very happy to see Amanda receive this well-deserved honor,” says Jack Schripsema, president and CEO, GLCVB. “She has built a solid career based on strong relationships and solid contacts, shaping her into a leader in the industry and a key part of the GLCVB sales team.”
Previously, Toy worked at the Hyatt Regency Chicago in 2005. She then worked at the Hyatt Regency Dearborn before moving on to the Westin Book Cadillac Hotel in Detroit. She started working at the GLCVB in 2011 and primarily focused on the state association and state government markets.
Toy was formerly a SGMP board member and has been a part of the organization for more than eight years.
