Southwest Airlines has unveiled a collaborative venture with DreamWorks Animation’s latest offering, “Trolls Band Together.” In commemoration of this partnership, Southwest has introduced a Boeing 737-700 aircraft adorned with some of the beloved Trolls characters from the film on its exterior, along with other themed additions.
Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake make their return in DreamWorks Animation’s latest addition to the blockbuster musical franchise. The film will be released on Nov. 17, ahead of the holiday season, and is helmed by the returning director Walt Dohrn and producer Gina Shay, with co-direction by Tim Heitz, the head of story for “Trolls World Tour.” The previous two installments in DreamWorks Animation’s Trolls franchise, “Trolls” in 2016 and “Trolls World Tour” in 2020, garnered immense success, earning an Oscar nomination for Best Original Song and contributing to the emergence of one of the world’s most cherished entertainment brands. This new heartwarming film follows the main characters on a poignant odyssey, reuniting Poppy and Branch with long-lost family members. As they journey to new places, they forge enduring friendships along the way.
The Trolls-themed design on Southwest Airlines aircraft extends to the interior, featuring imagery on a selection of cabin window shades. To further the excitement leading up to the theatrical release of “Trolls Band Together,” Southwest will showcase previous chapters of the musical franchise, “Trolls” and “Trolls World Tour,” as well as an exclusive video highlighting the partnership between Southwest and “Trolls Band Together” on its flights.
