Hosting an event requires juggling numerous responsibilities and overseeing complex logistics, including, for example, venue selection, overnight accommodations, vendors and staff, activities, catering, and audiovisual technology. Working with a one-stop-shop venue or planning company helps to consolidate services under one roof to simplify the planning process and enhance the attendee experience.

Texas has plenty of these one-stop shops for corporate and nonprofit events, providing planners with numerous options ranging from five-star and boutique hotels to convention centers and ranches. Many venues across the state offer convenient access to transportation hubs, popular sites, and fun attractions while showcasing the region’s culture and heritage through culinary offerings, art and design exhibits, music and entertainment outlets, immersive activities, and more.

Founded in Austin by Cassie LaMere, Cassie LaMere Events is a one-stop-shop agency that offers full-service design and planning services for all types of events, including corporate gatherings, retreats, brand activations, and product launches, as well as large-scale and live events.

“For close to 20 years, our work has been guided by a singular philosophy: to design events in service of a life well lived,” says LaMere. “Becoming a true one-stop-shop studio was not about offering more, it was about offering less friction. We hold every layer of the experience under one roof, from concept to execution. This continuity eliminates the handoffs, redundancies, and decision fatigue that so often complicate the planning process. Our clients don’t manage moving parts; they’re handled by a trusted team that anticipates them. Time is precious. Our white-glove, private concierge-level standard where no detail is overlooked means our clients gain something rare: the freedom to be present, to host with ease, and to focus on what truly matters.”

One of LaMere’s favorite one-stop-shop venues for events is Bowie House, Auberge Collection, in Fort Worth, which combines a modern feel with Texas personality. In addition to 106 guest rooms and suites, the luxury property features seven distinctive event venues with a combined 10,000 square feet of space, in addition to chef-driven menus, customizable amenities, and a dedicated on-staff team. Highlights include the Silverton Room, which hosts groups of up to 350 attendees and offers an elegant atmosphere with huge windows and high ceilings, and the colorful Billet Room, which offers 1,060 square feet of playful space with game tables.

“It captures the charm of storied Texas heritage through a distinctly modern lens,” LaMere says. “It’s a place where nostalgia and contemporary style coexist effortlessly, creating an atmosphere that feels both iconic and inclusive. Attendees are drawn to its warm, welcoming spirit, while, as planners, we appreciate the thoughtful hospitality and seamless amenities that make execution feel effortless. With sleek, character-rich interiors that stand confidently on their own, the Bowie House offers an authentic and refined backdrop—one that requires little embellishment to make a lasting impression [on attendees].”

Just outside Fort Worth and overlooking the Brazos River in Graham, Wildcatter Ranch is a boutique resort with an ideal setting for events and retreats, providing an experience that is both high-end and rugged. Meeting and event spaces include the Glass Pavilion, which hosts meetings and dinners for up to 65 people; the Grand Hall for banquets of up to 150 attendees; and the Wildcatter Steakhouse + Buffalo Banquet Hall. Attendees can enjoy a taste of the cowboy lifestyle with distinctive experiences, including feeding Texas longhorns, riding with professional wranglers, archery, fishing, and clay shooting.

“With an award-winning steakhouse on-site, Wildcatter Ranch offers excellent catering and capacity for 40 [people at] single occupancy,” says Kalli Doubleday, co-owner of Wildcatter Ranch. “The property has 16 cabin suites overlooking the valley with panoramic views, which are highlights for many as the spacious suites with fireplaces and individualistic historical decor and themes provide a unique Texas experience.” In addition, the property has 16 guest rooms and two two-bedroom houses. “This gives corporate groups a private retreat with excellent service alongside great accommodations. Last year, we hosted corporate groups from out of state as well as international corporations. Attendees rave about our high-touch events team, which includes four full-time team members ensuring everything from initial inquiry to ‘see y’all later’ is handled with care and attention.”

Conveniently located near Dallas and Fort Worth and less than 10 minutes from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, Grapevine has much to offer attendees with more than 20 hotels and over 1 million square feet of meeting space within a 3-mile radius. “The Grapevine Convention & Visitors Bureau’s seasoned convention sales team supports meeting planners throughout the booking process, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience,” says Codi Missimo, national sales manager at the Grapevine Convention & Visitors Bureau. “Once an event is confirmed, the bureau’s destination-services team takes the lead, providing value-add services, such as event microsites; the ‘Show Your Badge’ program, where attendees can receive special discounts and offers at restaurants, shops, and attractions with their conference badge; temporary staffing coordination through the Burgundy Brigade, a team of trained professionals available [through the convention and visitors bureau] to serve as temporary employees during events; public relations assistance; and more.”

Among Grapevine’s one-stop-shop destinations is Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center, which overlooks Lake Grapevine and has 4 1/2 acres of gardens and waterways, more than 1,800 guest rooms, nearly 500,000 square feet of meeting space, on-site entertainment, multiple restaurants, and a speakeasy. Near Grapevine’s city center, Hotel Vin, Autograph Collection, offers easy access to the city’s Historic Main Street District and has 120 upscale rooms, 20,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space, a European-style food hall with eight kitchens and two bars, a wine room for tastings and events, and more. The property is undergoing an expansion slated to be completed this fall that will include 120 additional guest rooms, an outdoor pool, a spa, restaurant, and 6,000 square feet of additional event space.

“Hotel Vin is truly a one-stop shop for group travel, where every element is intentionally curated under one roof,” says Carlie Lara, director of sales and catering at the hotel. “From bespoke meeting experiences with both refined indoor venues and inviting outdoor settings to elevated culinary moments and thoughtfully designed activities throughout the property, [the hotel provides] planners [with] the freedom to craft programs that feel distinctive and immersive. With walkable access to Grapevine’s Historic Main Street District and with effortless connectivity to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport—which is minutes away—Hotel Vin delivers seamless, sophisticated experiences without the constraints of a traditional conference hotel.”

Nearby Dallas is home to numerous one-stop shops, including The Highland Dallas, Curio Collection by Hilton, a reimagined property in Highland Park that underwent a $13 million transformation last spring. It has 9,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor event space, and the hotel regularly hosts pop-up activations and dynamic wellness and culinary programming. Events also can be held in The Reserve at Highland, the property’s signature dining destination that showcases Texas-raised, all-natural meats, and offers a sophisticated indoor setting and an open-air flagstone patio with a cozy fireplace.

Another premier comprehensive venue in Dallas is The Joule, which offers 30,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space set with city views, plus catering, audiovisual, and setup. One of the hotel’s most-liked features is the rooftop pool area with a cantilevered swimming pool extending 8 feet off the 10th floor and providing the illusion of swimming among the city’s skyscrapers. Another popular space is the outdoor lawn—featuring a 30-foot sculpture called Eye by artist Tony Tasset—that has been the site of galas, corporate yoga classes, and the annual Dallas Art Fair’s closing soiree.

Also in Dallas, Hôtel Swexan is a family-owned, 134-room hotel with the sixth floor dedicated entirely to events. It has five spaces that span 12,000 square feet, and the floor’s layout can be configured to meet each group’s needs and offers smooth transitions from main sessions to breakouts. The hotel’s design details and materials are inspired by cities around the world such as Brazilian quartzite and notable art pieces from Ann and Gabriel Barbier-Muellers’ private samurai collection—Gabriel Barbier-Mueller is the founder of Harwood International, which is the property’s real estate developer, and he also is an avid collector of samurai artwork, as seen at The Ann & Gabriel Barbier-Mueller Museum: The Samurai Collection (which he also founded with his wife, Ann). Additionally, Hôtel Swexan has 16 custom Hermes scarves displayed in elevator corridors, which were created for the Barbier-Mueller family in 2017.

“From our beautifully designed event spaces to curated catering, entertainment, and group experiences, Hôtel Swexan offers everything event planners need to create a seamless and unforgettable occasion,” says General Manager Julian Payne. He adds that whether planners host a corporate retreat, large gala, or an intimate celebration, they will find that “our sixth-floor event spaces combine elegance, flexibility, and thoughtful details to make every event exceptional.”
