Located along the shores of Lake Carolyn in Irving’s Las Colinas neighborhood, near Dallas, Omni Las Colinas Hotel wrapped up the final phase of a $33 million property-wide renovation in mid-June. This $20 million portion of the project updated all 421 guest rooms and suites, as well as the Las Colinas Ballroom, the hotel’s largest event space.

This final phase followed an earlier $13 million transformation of the property’s common spaces, which took place in 2020 and also included the debut of The Lakehouse Waterfront Lounge & Pool Deck. This poolside venue provides daybeds, fire pits, private cabanas, and a 10,700-square-foot outdoor event lawn. The previous renovation also introduced three dining concepts: LRH Restaurant & Bar (elevated Texas fare), Flossie’s (a breakfast and brunch outlet), and Over the Counter (a gourmet market with coffee and snacks).

“This [final] renovation marks a defining moment for Omni Las Colinas Hotel as we continue to evolve with our community,” says Anthony Buttafuoco, general manager of the hotel, in a prepared statement. “By revitalizing every guest room and suite, we have elevated the entire guest experience while remaining true to the spirit of Las Colinas. This transformation is a reflection of our long-term investment in this neighborhood and our role as a lifestyle destination in the heart of Irving.”

Event attendees staying and meeting at the Omni Las Colinas Hotel will find the updated guest rooms bathed in warm neutral tones and dusty blues, complemented by natural materials and brass accents. The walls are adorned with an assortment of abstract artworks. In the Governor and Presidential suites, the original floor-to-ceiling green marble bathrooms remain intact.

“Our goal was to design spaces that feel both grounded and elevated, where guests can connect with the cultural identity of Las Colinas while experiencing modern comfort,” says Lindsey Nelson, interior designer with Omni Hotels & Resorts. “We were especially inspired by the idea of contrast—wide-open landscapes brought into refined interior moments, and rugged history interpreted through elegant materials. The color palette, furnishings, and finishes all reflect that duality, capturing a spirit that’s distinctly Texan, yet unexpectedly serene.”

The updated Las Colinas Ballroom spans 10,650 square feet and accommodates up to 2,000 people reception-style. Additional event spaces planners might consider include the Mandalay Ballroom and Las Colinas Boardroom, among several others.
