Owners Martha Leigh Whitten and Dora Miller opened Alamo Pecan & Coffee Co. in San Saba in the fall of 1999, centered on selling an assortment of pecan goodies, from shelled and flavored pecans to pecan candies. A coffee shop was added in 2007, and today the company has expanded its product menu. It also offers corporate gifting and bulk options. “We are always excited to partner with corporate clients to enhance their gift-giving needs,” says Miller. “And it provides an opportunity to showcase and highlight the wonderful [taste of pecans]. This edible gift is always so well received.”
There are no quantity minimums for orders, and shipping is available nationwide. Planners can select from gift baskets, boxes, trays, and tins, all of which can be customized with client branding and logos. Notable product favorites include the freshly shelled, rich, nutty pecans. Pecan candies include chocolate caramel pecan clusters and Texas pecan pralines, and the flavored pecans run the gamut from butter toffee and white chocolate to spiced cinnamon.
